How to install your Unchemed
Follow the quick step-by-step below. If you can open a soda bottle, you can do this.

Step by step
Follow along at your own pace.
Remove your old showerhead
Unscrew the old head by hand, counter-clockwise, and wipe the threads clean.
Wrap the threads with tape
Wrap the arm threads with the included tape, 3 to 4 times clockwise, for a leak-proof seal.
Twist on the 15-stage filter
Hand-tighten the Unchemed inline filter onto the arm. This is your deep filtration.
Add the connector
Screw the connector onto the bottom of the filter, snug by hand.
Attach the hose
Attach the 5-foot hose to the connector and hand-tighten the collar.
Connect the handheld
Twist the handheld onto the hose. Its 5-stage filter makes 20 stages in total.
Turn it on and enjoy
Turn on the water, check for drips, and enjoy. About five minutes, done.

Here's the full install, start to finish.
- Wrap the tape clockwise, or it unwinds when you screw the connector on.
- Hand-tight is enough everywhere. No wrench, no pliers.
- Press the button on the handle to cycle Rainfall, Jetting and Mixed.
- Swap the handheld cartridge every three months and the inline filter every six.

Remove your old showerhead
Unscrew the old head by hand, counter-clockwise, and wipe the threads clean.
Wrap the threads with tape
Wrap the arm threads with the included tape, 3 to 4 times clockwise, for a leak-proof seal.
Screw on the connector
Thread the connector onto the shower arm and hand-tighten it clockwise. Snug is enough.
Attach the hose
Screw one end of the hose onto the connector. Check that the rubber washer is seated inside.
Connect the hose to the head
Twist the free end of the hose into the base of the Chelate-X and hand-tighten the collar.
Turn it on and enjoy
Run the water for thirty seconds to flush the filter, check for drips, and enjoy. Done.
